Sam is an absolute sweetheart! Even if you're waking him up from a nap, within a few seconds of rubbing his head, he'll be fully alert, purring deeply, and headbutting you to keep going! Sam also has big, beautiful yellow eyes shot through with tendrils of green. He's the perfect cuddlebug to pour all of your affection and love into.

Sam is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) positive, so his immune system is a little weaker than other cats. He should be monitored for secondary illnesses, but otherwise needs to see the vet once a year just like any other cat. FIV+ cats can live normal lives -- both in quality and duration! They cannot pass on FIV to people or dogs, and it is difficult to spread between cats. It can be spread through deep bite wounds, but not through casual contact (sharing bowls, grooming, playing, etc.) so it’s important to make sure the cats aren’t fighting.
