To begin the adoption process, please fill out our Adoption Questionnaire so we can get to know more about you:
Once this is done, please allow 7-10 days for us to process your form. Due to an overwhelming amount of inquiries, wait times are longer than usual. You will be contacted via email when your form is processed.
The Morris Animal Refuge reserves the right to refuse any adoption.
If you are interested in or have questions about a specific animal that is listed on our website, feel free to drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org! We address adoption inquiries in the order in which they are received. If you don’t hear back from us, the animal you’re interested in has likely been adopted.
Once your Adoption Questionnaire is processed, we will schedule an appointment for you to visit the refuge. Please keep in mind that animals are adopted on a first-come-first-served. We cannot place holds on any of our animals.
What Should I Bring To My Appointment?
When you arrive at the refuge, please bring a valid photo ID and cash or card to pay the adoption fee.
If you will be meeting a dog: Bring any children living in the home. If you have another dog already, please bring them as well.
What Does The Adoption Fee Cover?
All animals adopted from Morris Animal Refuge are:
- Up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations
- Treated for fleas and most intestinal parasites
- Cared for by our loving staff until they find their forever homes
We require any animals adopted from us to see a veterinarian within 1 week of adoption for a post-adoption check-up and to establish care.
