Stop Animal Cruelty and Stop Puppy Mills!

Victoria's Laws

It is the sad and unfortunate truth that oftentimes, kittens, puppies, and bunnies in pet retail stores nationwide come from puppy mills, kitten mills, and rabbit mills. Animals spend their lives reproducing constantly in order to keep puppies, kittens, and bunnies available for sale in stores. Often inbred, many of the animals develop life-threatening illnesses and conditions. We at Morris Animal Refuge unite with the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association (HSVMA), The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), and Finding Shelter Animal Rescue to voice our support for legislation to END puppy, kitten, and rabbit mills. We know that each and every animal deserves a humane and joyful life and therefore support ending the sale of puppies, kittens, and rabbits from mills in Pennsylvania with “Victoria’s Law.”

We join in on the campaign to “Kick Puppy Mills Out of Pennsylvania” and hope you will too! A few ways that you can get involved!

  1. Learn more about Victoria’s Law through research. Check out the video link from Lucy Noland’s Facebook page to hear a little more about “Victoria's Law” and how it came about. Then, do your own research to learn more about the legislation to end animal mills in PA. Find your local legislator here and tell them why this is important to you by sending the video.
  2. Reach out to your local legislators with a postcard! Click the link for the postcard below, fill it in, and send it to your legislator. Determine if your legislator is a co-sponsor of Victoria’s Law here! If they are, thank them for their support of the law. If they aren’t, let them know why this is important to you and encourage their support!
