For the third year in a row, two puppies traveled to New York City to represent the Morris Animal Refuge in the exciting Puppy Bowl XIV! This year’s contestants, Hinesville (now Aziz) and Lila (now Winnie) had the time of their lives playing all day with other pups from across the country and boxing out the competition. Hinesville, a playful Mountain Cur mix, represented team Ruff while Lila, a spunky Jack Russell mix, played for team Fluff. While both pups were featured prominently on game night, the two seemed to have different strategies for winning. Hinesville focused on making friends with opposing team members, keeping his enemies close, while Lila claimed her fame as a member of the starting line up and by scoring a winning touchdown! Lila may be little but she sure was a mighty member of the winning team. Go team Fluff!
After the filming, Lila and Hinesville got to attend the Puppy Bowl XIV viewing party hosted at Devil’s Den in South Philly. It was a rockin’ good time with drink specials from Lagunitas Brewing Company and Tito’s Handmade Vodka as well as mouth watering specialty hot dogs. Lagunitas also sponsored a puppy photo booth where attendees could pose for polaroids with our puppy champions and other adoptable dogs.
Hinesville and Lila are both almost one year old now and retired from their former pro-athlete lives. They both found wonderful, loving homes in Philadelphia and love rooting for the Eagles!SOCIAL SHARE
