Want to get your pet spayed or neutered but don’t think that you can afford to? The Morris Animal Refuge offers a Low Cost Spay and Neuter program! Here’s how it works:
- The program provides low cost certificates that range in price from $40 for cats and rabbits to $60 for dogs. The certificates are then presented to participating veterinarians before the procedure. The Refuge then reimburses the veterinarian at a charitable rate.
- The certificates are only sold on-site at our Center City shelter. We accept cash or debit/credit card. When you come to the refuge to pay the certificate fee, you will receive a list of participating veterinarians. You can also download the list of participating clinics by using the button below.
- After receiving the certificate, you can make an appointment with the participating veterinarian of your choice. The participating veterinarians have the option to charge additional fees for examinations, vaccinations, and special surgical procedures to correct abnormalities. Be sure that you inquire about any additional costs that the veterinarian may charge before making your appointment.
- If there are no participating veterinarians in your immediate area, and your local veterinarian is willing to participate in our program, please ask your vet to call our office for more information and to enroll in the program.
Since 1995, the Refuge has issued more than 10,000 spay/neuter certificates. If you would like to support this wonderful program, please visit our Donate page today! We thank you in advance for your donation, and you can be proud to say that you are directly helping to resolve the animal overpopulation problem right here in the Philadelphia Area.
